Data Collection

No data is collected. All information you enter (receipts, categories, amounts, images, transactions) is stored exclusively on your device.

Data Storage

• All transaction data is stored locally using Android's Room database
• Receipt images are stored in your app's private storage directory
• Backups (if created) are stored in your local device storage only
• No cloud storage, no syncing, no remote servers

Permissions Used

Camera: Required to capture receipt photos for expense tracking

Storage: Required to save receipt images and export data to CSV/PDF/ZIP formats

Notifications: Used for optional reminders and tax year-end alerts that you can enable

Data Sharing

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• You can delete all data by clearing the app's data in Android Settings → Apps → HappyTaxes → Storage → Clear Data
• You can export your data at any time using the app's CSV/PDF/ZIP export features
• You have complete control over your backups

Data Security

• Data is stored in Android's secure app-private storage
• Only your app can access this data
• Receipt images are compressed to save space while maintaining quality
• No internet connection is required or used for data storage

Changes to This Policy

Users will be notified of any material changes to this policy through app updates. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
